howsabout the newer "wet" road tyres like PR3s or dunlop roadsmarts or sports smarts.
These tend to not need to be fully on it to keep warm or tyre warmers to get warm which is difficult on an SM style bike front tyre due to low loads generally .
Or one of the Wet race like tyres now available for road use (orignally started by Pirelli MT60 corsa- though an old tyre design/compund these days) think Avon and dunlop? do these .
