Hi

Leigh and I have used the Tenere for 2 up touring. The bike is still on stock rear shock at the moment and seems to work well, although I may just up grade the rear spring for our next trip due to the amount of mileage we intend to cover.

We are leaving from Argentina in Janaury on a long trip which may take up to a year.

I am now preparing the bike ready for the trip . We have managed to get our kit down in size which help's a lot when there are 2 of you on one bike.

We have a pannier each for our personal kit and a roll bag on the back for all the camping kit. After a recent trip we decided to change our camping kit and bought the smallest sleeping bags and air bed's we could. This freed up a lot of room in the Roll bag so now we can get the stove and cooking equipment in.

It may help if you have the hump removed from your seat. we have a seat with this done and it seems to give us both more room on the bike.

The xt660z as enough power for me, we dont want to be riding fast as we like to take in the scenery and most roads in 3rd world countries are in a poor condition and therefore safer riden slower. We also like to go off road which I feel the XT660z is best at.

We hope some of this help's, enjoy you trip and have fun.
