I have recently put on a set of mitas e-08s which I have full confidence in for European riding but am wondering whether they'll stand up to Morocco?

I am trying to avoid buying a set of TKC's as I've just invested in the mitas'. I will be sticking to the more familiar pistes, the question is, can I get away with them?

I would like to have a bit of confidence in my traction, so if it seems unanimously to be a massive no no then I will go for the tkc's otherwise I would prefer to stick to what I've got on. Any experience/words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Tom
i think tom you would be better with a tk front ... the e 08 is a dead ringer for the heindau k60 which are fine on the road and better than tourance and stuff but in sandy stuff and wet stuff the front will at the very best be marginal
on tracks you can expect a sliver of deep sand here and there .. ..some of the straem crossings throw dust up from under the water ... go figure ??

the rear heindau is really quite good but the front is the most important i think ,, the e08 looks fine for rocky stuff and it doesn matter to much if it squirms a bit as long as it drives in the softer stuff

but

im sure [ i know ] you will be much more comfy off road with a tk or e09 dakar on the front ....i can tell you the tk front will do the trip twice so no sweat there
ve just come back from morroco and hand on heart think its good advice as with the k60 front in pl;aces i know i would have stuggled ..thats why i changed it before i went .. for 60 quid i would do that ....
you can always use up the other tyre later on less demanding terraine
regards steve
