TB650 is on a distinguished road
20,000kms on my Tenere cont

Michelin Ultra Heavy Duty tubes

I switched the tubes when I got the bike, I have been unable to get a 17inch for the rear. I have only had two flat tyres since I started running Michelin Ultras in 2004. The first flat was last years birthday ride, a rear tube I had been running since 2004 (yes 6 years through 2 bikes) that had done over 50,000kms and the flat was caused by a railway spike!! The other was at the Hampton ride this year and caused by the tyre spinning on the rim and ripping the valve out of the tube. Both on the XR, so I figured good enough for the front of the Tenere and have had no flats in 20,000kms.

See how thick they are

Price under $40 on special at Suttos

Rating 10/10 why not two flats in 70,000kms (three bikes)

Wolfman Top Bag

Its a small, I carry my tent, self inflating mattress, self inflating pillow, jumper, head torch and wet weather gear and there is so much room left actually the straps are at their smallest setting! It features a roll down top same as the soft panniers and is 100% water proof (again can personally vouch for that, the river dunking remember)

Tyres
As written in the 10k post I had tried the TCK80 rears and they had no traction and wore out in under 4000kms, grip 4/10 longevity 8/10 rating 6/10

MT21 Pirellis

MT21 rear its a 130/90-18 good traction latest less than 4000kms and was worn out, traction was ok

Front MT21

These gripped ok, did nearly 5000kms but heal and toed real bad and I have only used one because of the heal and toeing

Dunlop 606 rears

Great tyre heaps of grip but wear real quick I cant get more than 3000kms out of one and I am sure Nick hasnt got much more if any more

606 Fronts

I dont like them, they wear ok but heal and toe good for around 4000kms

They are well priced (cheap)

Rating 7.5/10

Dunlop 907 front

The 907 is a super aggressive front that I couldnt understand was street legal

The 907 is my front of choice at the moment, I can get nearly 5000kms from one and they dont heal and toe anywhere near as much as anything else I have tried

Price $100 or there abouts depending on your buying power

Rating 9/10 they stick like you know what to a blanket. Bit skatey in the wet on the black top but I dont ride much of that

Mitas E09 Rears

This tyre was recommended to me by Steve at Adventure Moto, Steve raved about them and swore black and blue that it was a good thing. I tried one on the 3 states ride and loved it, it wears well and has done over 4500kms already and has 1000kms left in it I reckon. It drives out of corners unreal, Nick and I rode the whole 3 states in close company and he said many a time I had drive where his 606 with the same mileage was spinning.

Price, expensive but you get what you pay for. I dont know the price I forget ring Steve at Adventure Moto

Rating 8.5 out of 10 (didnt get 9.5 because it is the worst tyre I have ever fitted)
