It's a cop out fix, it's a bodge. They obviously haven't found the source of the fault hence the continued issue. As a result you've got a not very old bike that's been devalued to (at the least) the cost of two parts of plastic.
I hope the bike is how you want it mate, and continues to run and run now.

Like I said, I don't like to be negative but for that to be the result of a Yamaha dealer's workshop is a disgrace.
Hi Tripletom, The source of the problem was where to rec/reg unit is located! if you look at the xt's you'll not find it located where all the weather and c*%p can get to it, mess it and the loom up, my question would be if yam can locate it some where's else on the xt's ...then why not on the Ten?? and there is less body work to hide it in and protect it and still keep it cool, i've checked mine after a 30 mile trip from work in this hot wheather and it's just very slightly warm to touch Working in an electronic environment and a electronic's engineer for over 30yrs i would find this acceptable
