I'd tend to agree with Tripletom... maybe it's a belt and braces approach, but it shouldn't need to be repositioned like that...

I'd also be concerned about the reg/rec getting hot in the flow of air from the radiator - maybe not in in general (UK) conditions - but if you were working the bike hard off-road or in warmer climes, you'll be surprised how much heat is kicked out of the radiator...

Cook the reg/rec and you're back to square one?
