I'm sorry to be negative, but if a dealer had done that to my bike I would have forced it sideways where the sun don't shine.
It's a cop out fix, it's a bodge. They obviously haven't found the source of the fault hence the continued issue. As a result you've got a not very old bike that's been devalued to (at the least) the cost of two parts of plastic.
I hope the bike is how you want it mate, and continues to run and run now.

Like I said, I don't like to be negative but for that to be the result of a Yamaha dealer's workshop is a disgrace.
