I've just fitted a Motech centre stand (chosen over the Yamaha one simply because Yamaha's website kept telling me I had nothing in my basket). It came with 2 springs although there was only one in the inventory. I chose the thinner one as it most looked like the one in the instructions. The stand dangles dangerously so I've had to keep it up with a cable tie. Should I have used the fatter spring? Anyone know? It took me all of my 10 stone weakling strength to get the thin one on so I'm loath to attempt the other if it'll make no difference!
