When I had my alarm fitted I was told it wasn't one that goes off in petrol stations, so maybe you cannot alter it. But I'm not sure.
Mine is a metasystem, the immobiliser kicks in after a minute but you have to arm the alarm manually every time.

Determined thieves equiped with a van and a few accesories won't be hindered too much by an alarm.
Some people have too many balls.. my chinese delivery man got his car window smashed and the money nicked from his car while me and the delivery man watched from the comfort of my drive!) My last bike was attempted stolen by 3 youths when there was 5 of us in my house at the time, with the back door open and a german shepherd! cut through my chain smashed my ignition and had the bike on it's way up me drive. D-lock and Dog to thank that time. they ran off. The dog followed.
D-lock, Disc-lock, Chain and homemade anchor, alarm, in a nice solid shed/garage I built and I still worry when I'm away from my XT.
I've seen these.. http://www.almax-security-chains.co....oducts/c-1-73/ The 19mm looks awsome.
