Original exhaust is heavy and not good for power... Luckily i live in the land of Akrapovič. My friend works there, so he help me made the single sided exhaust Oldie: New exhaust, finding the final position, then we will conect with the pipes. Building the pipe link: We used sandwich mesh, to protect the wool: The wool stuffing: Final product: With this mod i got more power on low RPM, sounds great. Bike weighs for 3,2 kilograms less. Total cost of this exhaust mod was less than 60€! I already broke 3 levers on handlebar, so time to protect them, now its getting colder also, so I bought Polisport hand protection made of plastics. Gives some wind protection and a little "braking levers" protection. But if you want protection for your levers i advise to buy something made out of aluminium like Barkbusters or similar. These plastic ones will bend and can also brake the lever. Like I did. Mounted on the bike: My last upgrade was done this weekend. Since I changed the exhaust i cannot use the home made side racks i build, because they were mounted on the original exhaust. The originals are again expensive, so i bought one used from Yama TDM, to use it to make it fit on my bike. Later this winter I will also make the panniers... TDM rack already cut to pieces: Some cutting, and fitting, and cutting and fitting... Left side rack was simple, try to maker it identical and mirrored on the other side. Sandblasted it, painted it for like 5-6 times: Looks promising: I also predicted a spot for tool tube, since i have one sided exhaust, i had place on the other. Just great to put two tool tubes, where I can keep a lot of tools. This is it for now. My bike was little transformed during this season. I put some character in it on my own, to make it feel just i like it. To make it useful as i can for my riding style. I love this bike. Got some ideas for next modifications, to make this winter shorter. The very next is the bash plate i mentioned in the other thread. Hope I will make it with your help. I hope you like what I did to mi bike so far. I wrote it here also to help some other owner of the Tenere, when needing information about this bike. I know how difficult it is sometimes to find exactly the info you need.
