I Have Daytona grips. Not that impressed. The low setting is way too low and pointless. I have connected to the aux socket under the dash along with my GPS. The Yam one fit to the aux socket so should be OK and my dealer also agreed.

Not sure why you don't think the aux socket is man enough. The grips generally only draw about 3 amps.
