So I can't help much but I am curious to know did yours cause uneven tyre wear?

My seal went on a long trip with alot of bumpy dirt, only did 8,000 km before it was stuffed. When I had the seals done the Yamaha shop said that if it wasn't a warranty job they would actually recommend a higher grade oil and better seal (non Yamaha) which was apparently cheaper and better suited to off road.
