Thanks for the replies
I have Kev's 74mm links on my R in Spain to cope with the ruts and rocks off-road there but I have the X 85mm on my R in the UK as I do mostly roads here. Part of my reasons for the raising links and the Kev fork spacers is my weight of 23 stones (was nearly 27 stones last year). The extra weight does make the middle of the bike sit a little lower and avoids the chain eating the lower chain roller which can happen when you raise the rear suspension.
