I'm assuming that you have an 04-06 X or R that has the box section swing arm. Have you seen the 07 swing arm, it's a nicer rounded shape with a thicker section in the middle that tapers towards the wheel.

And it will fit because others on here have already done the conversion and they show up on e-bay if someone breaks a bike.
