yes the worn michelins were getting harder to turn in, but the conti's steer much quicker than the michelins ever did when new
perhaps I should point out that I'm not exactly a novice, having a full bike license since 1980. I was grounding foot pegs on my DT 175 MX nearly 30 years ago. ridden bikes almost constantly since then
price for me wasn't my main concern, but yes coni's are always a bit more expensive than other makes
I will post up my thoughts on the contis when i get a good chance to work them hard, at the moment just commuting on A roads I'm not getting any heat into the front tyre but the rear is fine, front needs to be worked harder I recon then it will be fine
