No, wash your bike plenty of times over winter.
I think the best one i was told was, give your bike a good clean, dry then cover in acf50 (not the brakes etc) then unless your doing a proper monthly clean dont rub the bike down just spray it with a hose (not power hose) as this will get the salt etc off but not take off the afc50, then after the month give it a good clean and repeat.
I would do this but every 2 weeks or so depending on the weather and the rain
