As some of you know i was knocked of my ten back in june ,it is taking a very long time to sort the claim out but we are finally getting somewhere BUT the value on the bike differs hugely
The bike has done 1200 miles was like new and has the following extras fitted
Sump guard
crashbars
centre stand
pannier rails
mm tall screen
tt headlight protector
handguards
heated grips
seat modified
Total of about �1000
I was first quoted a value of �2995 with the extras ,then found out they valued it against the wrong bike (xt660r)
The second quote was adjusted and they came back with �3995 with extras ,again i was not happy
The third quote is for �4695 which again i am not happy so have told them fine ,find me a replacement bike in exactly the same condition with all the extras and i would be happy to accept it or repair my bike to the condition it was in prior to the accident
The dealer has written to my solicitor to state the fact the bike is well under valued and at the present time a basic bike is costing in the region of �5700-5900 and in january they expect a price increase to take the price of a new bike up to �6300 ,so with the extras would be just over �7000
Hopefully they will sort it out sooner rather than later
