Until Yamaha do the fix on the warranty I have unplugged the connector and used a baloon....pulled it up the cable and stretched it over the square plug and plugged it back in to reduce the risk of water ingress. Trimmed the ends and zip tied it to keep it water tight. I went and bought a few black party ballons and it works a treat for now.
