You can ride to the start of the arctic circle in a couple of days fairly easily from here. It would be a good ride, and there is some awesome scenery, with quite a bit of variety. I have worked up and down the coast, and I am always in awe of the scenery, plus I get to see it fro a very good perspective, usually about 2000'
The skid marks are nothing to do with me! Probably someone looking at the view as they drove by, then over correcting back across the road. There are no side roads here as it is a mountain road. Steep mountain one side up, and steep mountain other side down into the fjord. Wouldn't be many deer on this stretch either, so I would bet a sightseer.
