it takes the mechanic 10 minutes to do it, unscrew the old one and refit the new one, most of them prefer not to alter your idle speed settings in case you have a power commander that is linked to a predesigned map and they don't want to mess that up. but its an easy enough job for them to do it so, don't worry they shouldn't alter any of your settings.

I recieved my recall letter today. I am the second owner of my XTX and they tracked me down via my RTA ( roads and traffic authority ) records. I'll put it in for the TPS recall in the next 2 weeks and post my findings
john. PS , although mine has the kev mod , i'll ask them to just change the TPS and i'll do the rest |
I recieved a letter as well from Yamaha Netherlands. They tracked me down as a registered owner. Will contact my dealer to have the part replaced.

Ok, I might be dragging this thread up but Ive just seen it :P
My bike is a 54 and I dont know if it has been effected by this or its been already done. Is there a way I can find out? And if its not been done would it still be covered and be done FOC? |
The faulty TPS range.
Any TPS below 46 is now in the faulty range, A1 or A2 versions included. 2009 > XT's now come with a different TPS again & it looks completely different to the one shown below. http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/a...tyTPSRange.jpg |
