Head torch
 

I like to carry a small head torch around with me. The LED ones are small, light and last forever. It saves a complete hand when doing stuff in the dark and always aim in the same direction as your eyes. On top of that you can always take it off and use it as a normal torch.

This is the set I have came up with... Its suitable for long distance trip.
Original kit is bad quality and sometimes useless. I switched for better quality tools. I tried to make it small and light as it gets...

In bigger tool box there is enough space for all the tools I need. I use socket tools as much as possible.

Another is perfectly under the seat, there is enough place for heat blanket and fuses also.

Since i use single sided exhaust (also home made) I have enough space on another side for tool tubes.

Thats it, I am ready for long distance trip.
I will put in the kit also lighter stick and LED light when I find small ones.

Very nice set-up there Ni3ous - I particularly like those thinner tool tubes - where did you get then from? (presumably the same make, just not seen them in that size before)...

ps. Ni3ous' set up goes to show how a single can manufacturer is missing a trick not making a dummy can (for tools and stowage) to go on the opposite side - it's ideal!

On Adventure Spec there are a little pricey, so we made a group buy from Slovenia, from Agri Supply (USA), and costed us for 25 pcs around 10€/tool box with shipping.

Very happy.
I think I already mentioned, but beside exhaust, there is also home/hand made tool wrap, and side pannier racks, specificly made to fit with my needs and bike.

How did you mount the tool tubes? Could you post some pictures?
Very nice tool collection though!

This is a very simple map of how I did it. Is only a few welds on bracket holders to get it in place.
