ECU swop 07 to 05

I have now swopped my 07 ECU with O2 sensor for a 05 ECU with no O2 sensor. I have done this to gain full control of the fuel injection, so I can fully adjust the fuelling with all my mods.

I bought a complete wiring loom for a 05 XTX & fitted it to my 07 XTX with no modification needed to make it fit, then coded the 07 immobilizer & keys to the 04 ECU with no problems.

I have a headache just looking at that lot ...

Plug and play? :smile[2]:Only Kev and a few other can undertake such a task, I couldn't even change a light bulb without breaking something!!

You know me, anything is game on my XT's. If we don't try different things we will never know.

Time to move onto the next mod.:laughing5:

It is difficuklt to tell be the pictures, But where there big differences in the Loom or had they just added bits for the O" sensor etc? :brain:

More Plug and Pray I'd have thought.

Working in IT I've built a few computers so I've had all the parts and cables all over the floor before but that something else entirely!

Respect to Kev, I'd be running out the door screaming with all that lot! :biggob:

Hi Kev
all very nice but does that mean that you have given up on a mod that works for the 07 XTs? Mine is still riding like a bronco when its cold and damp. Was ok in the 'summer'.
Does anybody know what Aprillia and MZ use in their bikes. Same engines with the same output but as smooth as silk!?

Rob

The main looms are the same 07/05, except for the ECU part of the main loom it is totally different. The 07 ECU has 34 pins & the 05 ECU has 26 pins with the wiring allocation in the plugs in different locations.

So it is plug & play as long as you change the whole loom.:campfire:
