Skunkmoto, do you have a name for those routes? I have seen similar photos years ago but the routes were Dere Street and Kings Road, both Roman Roads. There is another route up there somewhere that I believe doesn't have one single gat on it in 17 miles, do you know of this?
The routes look perfect for a larger trail bike, thanks for posting, it could be worth a trip over there in summer......

Timpo.

No names for the ones I did, Kings Road? don't know that one. Dere St I know, my lil sig pic is from up that way. Lots of claims in up here got shafted by the nerc bill  which is bout as much I want to say on a public forum. The pics are of legal trails, btw.

Forgot, there's a ferry from Ijmuiden.

Wow Yam 6, very impressive. Did TT also sell those stickers too? And what that thing right where the radiator is, which has some readings of some sort?

Way cool! Forgive my ignorance, is the road tax disc for accurately measuring the distance and speed, hence good for hooking up with GPS and roadbook? BTW, the black windshield looks great on your black bike, very stealthy.

If I might butt in - alas nothing so fancy Jo', the road tax disc is simply a paper showing you've paid your UK road fund licence (tax) to use the roads...

The unit you are thinking about is an IMO (or ICO, depending on manufacturer), which is basically a digital speedo/milometer that you can calibrate for different wheel sizes, and gives an accurate reading for distance/speed/time etc. It usually uses a magnetic sensor that reads a small magnet attached to (typically) the front wheel rotor.

Most usually used for rallye riding in conjunction with the roller roadbook as Yam6 has fitted to the bars - but for general navigation, not strictly necessary, unless you are following a road book with very accurate distance instructions.

LOL, thanks JMo, for educating me. The pic just looks like some digital gizmo, which led me to this fascination with what gadgets can be put on the bike. It's just a sticker!

the road tax is something we in uk have to pay every 6 or 12 months to ride or drive cars trucks van quads on our roads in uk.
the windshield look like the "alien" in the film alien vs predator take a close look and u will see what i mean.

Or if you look from the driver's seat and blur your eyes a bit, the windshield and all the instruments together look like Darth Vader's head. :pjrlaugh_61OD3G: , which reminds the driver to "use your force". It's the first warm and sunny day here, just in very funny mood.

IT's the first windshield I like and I think it only works with the black, sort of all blended in nicely with the lines.
