Greetings from Holland,

As far as I know he designed & made it himself.

Another great post rekainen thankyou!

So i need -
  • 2no brake spacers 25mm +-0.0 x 6mm +- 0.0 tolerence ?
  • Also need to buy the XTX wheel RIMS and make them fit to my XTR hub (Central)
  • Make 2no (or just 1?) spacers (bushes) 32mm Dia(Diameter) x 17mm Id (inside diameter) to take up the space either side of the XTR hub? What length are these/this?
  • The wheel bridge isnt important so i can just make a bracket to support the mud guard or will the front wheel fit ok without modifiying the guard?
Not to sure if i have got all this correct so please let me know if i am being stupid/dumb. :laughing11:
Thanks again.

if you use a complete XTX front wheel than just recenter the front hub the make it fit (loosen spokes, recenter hub, fasten spokes). Use the genuine spacers that came with your xtr. The xtx rear wheel fits without modifications.

sorry for my English, it is best to talk with marjani, though what I understand, marjani use the wheel of the xtx, may be a solution, although slightly more expensive.

+-0.087 tolerance error for parallel faces

marjani modifier is a pro, I am a little amateur in these things.

sorry again.:sad7:

Ahhh ok i got you now guys....i was looking at doing it the mor ecomplicated way but i see now.
Just got to get the XTX wheels now,did see a pair of wheels, without tyres, for XTX for 250 starting bid and 350 buy it now, does that sound a good price?

marjani 23-05-09 11:24

bought my xtx wheels round 350GBP so sounds like a fair price to me. The discs were still on but the front x disc is unusable. Buy yourself also an extra r front disc + sprocket (46). This will shorten the swap wheels time.

Powerfreak 27-05-09 23:40

Would it not be easier to buy the forks and exchange the forks inner parts?
Does anyone know if the inner parts of the forks on an XTR will fit into an XTX?

Im just trying to find the cheapest way of going about this modification.
