I have personally been dealing with Martin with this matter for the past two years. The development of this O2 eliminator is been done in the USA they are busy working on the Ducati's at the moment.
|
Any progress on the O2 eliminator? Cant wait to get one.
|
I don't expect to hear anything for sometime.

Watch this space.
Mark 2 eliminator is coming together :110: Just need something to place it in to put under the seat and some testing to iron out some gremlins and should hopefully be sorted. Very much looking forward to getting a working version fitted to try! |
sounds good.......i have a dyno in 3 weeksish, if you want some free testing....
|
Well, that would actually be quite ideal.
Bare in mind though, I am but a single man (a single man with a lot of time on his hands cause he's single, ladies ;) ) So nothing is going to happen quickly. However, before I start handing stuff out to test, I really would like to try it out for my own and there is a massively large and final hurdle to overcome as of yet which I will look into soon. It's this hurdle which determines whether installation instructions for Mr Average J. Bloggs can be written. Will see what I can do. |
Hi there, hope I'm not butting in.
But does this help, stumbled across it recently. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PERFO...-/110572428643 http://www.alibaba.com/product-free/...tor_Is_An.html Does it really work at all on an XT? :Suspicious_DXD5FP: lol. Expensive for a simple job, Hoping to hear soon about the progress of development project 'xt660.com eliminator deluxe'. All hard work and Mods muchly appreciated. ;) |
Well... In the instance of the XT...
Currently: If you remove the O2 sensor on the XT, to stop the Engine Management light from coming on and from logging an error code, you need an 'O2 Eliminator' I have like 9 of them in the draw behind me I made up some time ago. BUT, this is ONLY if you remove the O2 sensor which is the first piece of the puzzle. The real problem then is, once the O2 sensor is removed, even though it doesn't throw up an error code, it causes a problem with changing the fuel at part throttle with a Fuel Mod like a power commander Kevfuel mod etc. Thats what this little box of tricks Im putting together is hopefully going to sort out and allow full control of the fuelling system. These 'Performance Chips' you've listed here, all they are is simply a 'Kevfuel Mod' and an 'O2 Emulator' in the same box I believe. Note I said Emulator rather than Eliminator. Eliminator is usually just a resistor to prevent warning lights (constant signal). An Emulator is designed to 'Emulate' an O2 sensor signal (changing signal) Both pretty much do the same job. Will they fit an XT? Most likely... Are they worth the money considering there are cheaper alternatives available? Not really... |
Thanks, I wasn't sure.
:) |
That is only half correct dazmatic.
This mod is a simple voltage divider which connected to the O2 sensor to change the voltage signal from the O2 sensor to the ECU & the other half is a resistor to the air temp sensor. |
Quote:
variable resistor on 1 side of the mod (kevmod) and an Emulator the other side (the voltage divider) |
I now have a mod that will reduce the surging for the 2007 to present XT660X/R's with O2 sensor, it's a new O2 controller that turns off the O2 sensor completely (Closed Loop circuit) this allows us to remap the fuelling using a Power Commander across the whole fuel map without the intervention of the closed loop circuit.
All the details are here. Kev's 2010 New O2 Mod for XTX & XTR's http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=14746 |
