I'm getting a set of Remus cans for the XTX, had one on my old XT600e, it was great - loud as anything. Until I fell off doing a wheelie and broke it in half. :icon_sad: The only problem with the new exhausts are that the dealership's demo bike (who i'm getting my new bike off) blew the baffles out so they are not road legal.

Is that why they call u wheelienice cause when u do wheelies u lose all your nice bits? :help:

:eusa_think: Haha, that was when I was learning to wheelie, trying to show off. I managed to break the tail pipe off the standard exhaust for it too (that's another accident I won't go into). At least trail bikes are more forgivable than sports bikes if you have an off.

Pricing bangs per buck shows Kev mods etc. give more performance per � than exhausts - if you've got the money - O.K. but noise is usually greatest from those with least to say - 'nuff said?

UPDATE

Lump sum from new pension arrived 14/5/07 - enabling me to buy CCCs as recommended by Freez et al.

I have completely changed my mind and now believe that there is no substitute for a big noise (to match my big gob/head)

Now that I have taken advantage of the CCCs carbon stubbys offer as advertised through this site - how do I change my poll vote from Standard Yam to CCCs?

Generally is there a way (should we?) change our votes in polls as we change our set-up on the bike?

Unfortunately that is a feature that we can't change in vBulletin once the vote is cast... that is it! however there is another poll on Carbon Cans asking which one you've got.... have you seen it yet?

Akras on mine.
I'm not sure if I could justify the cost of them new, but they were on the bike when I got them, and I just love them. Really great sound and looking good. I'm now convinced my next bike will have akras regardless of their cost.

hi i've just got a set of pipe werx race cans in stainless got them through flee bay for �250 delivered has anyone else used these cans what are the like?
as soon as i can work out how to upload a pic i will once i've fitted them

i have a set of pipe werx stainless steel exhausts lifetime guarentee with them so cant complain just wonder how good theyl stand up to there guarentee

i have them on my bike 2 months now and cant complain dude :)

No MTC on list capt, had to tick "other"


I've got stainlees road legal MTC cans on my r with removable baffles.
Waaaaaay toooo loud with baffles out, but just right with 'em in.

You got a set in the end then! Hope you're pleased with them, still well chuffed with mine. :ytiller:

I certainly did my friend, ended up getting slightly shorter cans than yours and selinas, light as a feather, really smart looking and they sound bloody brill.
Collected from shop in person, really helpful and polite and only �250. Cant beat that I dont think.

P.s. When I get round to cleaning the bike I'l get some pics taken and suss out how to post em.

Metal Mule.... high 2 into 1 system....

Custom made is the way forward- find a reputable exhaust fabricator and get talking designs :)

Quill Evo2 (titanium) cans on mine, with big-bore link pipes, and a K&N air filter. I was lucky, they were already fitted when I bought the bike.

Sounds excellent, fruity and bassy, yet not unsociably loud. Nice bit of popping and banging on the over-run to scare old ladies and small children. Might get around to trying the AIS-blocking mod, but quite like it the way it is... :D

Got some Carbon/Stainless Scorpions for my Tenere. Sounds beastly!

A pair of Barrett's cans, pretty happy with them!

I have a pair of Black Widows on mine.They sound great.

Black widows on my XTX, a bit fierce sans baffles though.
