Friends, look at the information I send from Joe from Peru.
---------------------------------------

Joe,
I have on simulation of price.
Tank = R$ 630,00 (This one has a lid with key);
Transport = R$ 100,00 (delivery in 11 to 16 days);
Total without taxes = R$ 730,00, or US$ 371.00 (Dlar US$ 1,79 now)

We don't receive more information about taxes, as I receive, I'll send OK?

And we have a little problem. We don't know until now if the transport is until the house or until the customs (anfndega - Federal Reserve in Brazil). In this case is possible that you have to pay one more transporte until you house.

Try to find some information in Peru and tell me OK?

Bye,

Hola Robson,

thanks for your info!:WellDone_OROQR1: good job!

I would pick it up myself in the customs - thats faster and easier than with a forwarder.

One question: if gili exports the tank, they should be able to deduct the tax (VAT or IGV)of Brazil, how much would that be?

Here in Peru the import tax would be like 30% of the value......

saludos,
Joe

i,ve just made a 6ltr tank to replace the righthand silencer, it works on suction from the main tank and empties first.
wish i,d known about the gill one though.

Nice work, any photo's? Can you tell us how you set up the suction pipe?

I know,
It will be good if we can send by a different way, as if I send for you as a gift.
Probably it doesn't have rates.
I'll find some information.

Friends, take a look at the message I sent to Ian...

Ian!
I come back this week, I was on a trip.
Well, I bought one of this tanks for me, with 22,5 liters, it is not so beatifull, byt is so good.
I come back to Gili negociation, then, we'll have more notice to you.

I want to tell you that they want to sell the tank for you, but, because we don't know the taxes to import in the destination country, and it can increase too much the price.

I'll do more tests and come back here OK?

Off course, I'll send some pictures of the tank in my bike.

Fuel Tanks Alluminium

I made my own extra fuel cans out of 2.5mm alluminium plate.
Thet take 4.6 Litres each and mount on either side of my bike in the Kappa pannier support brackets.
I have taken some hard falls on the roacks with them and they work really well.

This is me towing a GS800 that ran out of fuel on one of our recent trips , note the tanks at the rear of the bike
