Low mudguard
My first post, finally found out how to do one.
I recently took the mudguard/plastic covers off the front of my XTR. Made a lightweight ali support and fitted a skinny trials mudguard 25mm away from the wheel. It was about the only thing I didn't like about this bike. It's like the front was designed by committee, fit a low one or a high one. Can't decide, fit one of each. My mod removed about a kilo and I admit it's not to all tastes but I like it. |

Moody photo of my dirty bike. Been out hammering those Kent lanes for the day. Lots of water and mud on the road. Just how we like it on the "R".

Cold day and low sun, the makeings of another moody picture. Got to fit some hand guards to keep the wind off the pinkies. Poor old sod got cold again.

I made some changes to the tank covers. I never liked the plastic and sticker look.
I blacked the bottom of the covers and put on a foil pinstrip. I like the lines now and the side panels match better. Not to all tastes though. |
