Swing arm maintenance
Hi all!
I started cleaning my bike for the beginning of the season and I took my swing arm off to check and lube the bearings. In my opinion they need to be replaced but I can't find any sizes on the parts, except for the bearing itself. The reason is, the oem parts are pretty expensive so I went to a wholesale company that sell all kinds of bearings oil seals and bushes, but online there are no sizes for the bush and oil seals so they can't help me from the oem part no. Only. Can anyone help me with the following sizes from the rear arm yamaha scheme: #3, Bush (?x?x?) #4, oil seal (?x?x?) #6, oil seal (35X41.5X8-483) can someone explain the last part of this size? Thanks a lot! Edit: bike is a xt660x 2009 |
Is it item #3, 4 and 6 from this you are looking

Think all those bits come in one after market kit.

If they are like the Z setup from memory then although called it item 6 isn't an oil seal, it's more like a ribbed rubber seal with no spring retaining a lip like a conventional oil seal.

I ordered a Wemoto slinky glide set for my 2005 XTX last summer. Maybe it was just me but I found the rubber seals wouldn't fit inside the end caps, I ended up re-using the old ones in the end. Also one of the plastic bushings was slightly the wrong size, ended up re-using the old one of those too!
Not ideal I know, but I've had no issues with it.. yet. I did complain to Wemoto at the time but I got no response. Disappointing from them tbh. |
