Werner, don't worry I'll have a bottle on your behalf in the Dales.

.........and I'll have a nice bottle ready when you come over to the Norfolk meet.

Cheers Steve

Shame we won't see you this year Werner, but I can fully understand why you don't want to travel that distance in such a short time. We look forward to your esteemed company again in 2018.

Where and when is the German forum meet this year?

givitsum 08-03-17 21:11

Oban

Oban - did someone mention Oban? I moved to a little island near Oban last year and love it. Got my '09 Tenere and the '95 Pan with me but the other three bikes are still down south. It obviously takes me even longer to pack than it does Maxwell.

Will keep an eye on this thread and perhaps catch up with you guys at some point -- cheers -- Don

It'll be good to see you Harry. You can be our official representative from mainland Europe this year, seeing as Werner can't make it!

Looking forward to be there too and to meet in person... Forum is nice but nothing can beat a meeting with real people sharing the same interest!
Bike stands ready but will have the Heidenau's mounted, considering the 900 km one way. Still will opt for the offroad rideout! :048: Best way to see the surroundings.

Just had a wee look at the website for Dent campsite to see where it was and its not really that easy/straight forward as they dont have an address, but they do give you a PDF of a map.

Maybe someone who has been to the Dent campsite before can provide others with a set of GPS points/address so they can plug it into there Sat Nav and make finding the area a bit easier??

Wouldnt want anyone to get lost and have to find the place from my smokey BBQ flavoured signals due to be my awesome cooking skills!!

It's really difficult to miss... it's right beside the road, but these will get you close enough to see everyone else..

In short, ride straight through Dent (presume you're coming from M6 direction), keeping right, as you leave the village the site is on the right.

I'll warn you... it's ,,, rustic.
