Fine if you don't mind I'll do it Sunday rain or no rain. That way Aegis may be there too. The plus side is that the bike will be clean too. Cant wait to hear some more about some of your Ireland roads.

Jacque, your little m4 trip , what was it like?..I'm going to Wales in July and proberly doing the full length of it from here to its end then A roads to cardigan so was just wandering what riding on the m4 was like..cheers jo

Hi Jo, M4's fine just a bit tedious..it seems to go on forever. Going to Ireland every year I get on it at Newbury and stay on it till it ends. That's because it's a means to an end...catching the ferry in Pembroke. Coming back is better...I peel off as soon as I can and ride some great roads through Wiltshire cross country towards Winchester and home!. The Tenere is great on all roads..feels really planted on the motorway..no probs with sidewinder even over the Severn Bridge . Steve

Hi all, was very very misty this morning. Not sure it was worth the trouble. At least I got to test the rain-proofness of some of my kit. Visibility over the hills was down to 20m, and pretty scary. Even had a grey range rover with no lights along the way. That made me slow down.
Jo, can say after quite a bit motorway (including A4) riding, its all about mindset. My tenere is dead happy cruising all day long at 70mph. But its not what its made for. So stick it in the slow lane and relax. As Steve said its a means to an end. Ignore the super bikes zipping past. They come to an abrupt stop when the black stuff runs out. The tenere however is perfect for filtering. So heavy traffic is never a problem. Nice and high and much narrower than most bikes. Its a whole day up to North Wales. Remember lots of stops. The roads in wales are amazing, especially the north. You will love it. Fingers crossed its dry. Prepare for rain storms and you can't go wrong. http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/...psifv65goh.jpg |
