'Rubberised ' sprocket. ?
What is a rubberised sprocket. .? Seen one advertised on ebay saying it reduces transmission strain and improves chain life. It was for the Tenere. . Steve

rubber
My vintage tenere had a rubber flange behind the front sprocket. Aftermarket replacements didn't. I had both, didn't notice any difference.

The current Tenere is no different: OE sprockets do, aftermarket don't and, I agree... you can't tell the difference! |
Thanks guys.. was curious! Steve

Maybe a little bit less noise.

If you're after the ultimate in silent running then I've just noticed
this chain and sprocket set which has a rubber damper on the rear as well as the front! Can't see the point though if you've got an aftermarket exhaust, free flowing air filters and knobbly tyres droning away...

I agree, but it's not a bad price for a chain and sprocket set!. What sort of chain do you use Pleiades. .? Steve

As you mention, that Ognibene kit looks very keenly priced. All we need is a guinea pig to try a set... :064: |
