John if you are running both stages 1 & 2 air filters the bike will be running lean. I would recommend you fit the mod to the Air Temp sender, as this is quick to do & only have to solder two wires. I did send you the fitting & tunning instructions on CD.
Set the CO1 back to 20 & set the temp sender to 5 deg below the actual temp reading on the dash. Ride the bike, then adjust the mod to 10 deg below the actual reading & see which is the best for the surging & running. If you get stuck get back to me. |
Kev...How do I adjust the temp setting....How do I do it .????What buttons do I fiddle with.?????JOhn

I did put the instructions on the CD that I sent you. Anyway here they are again.
1> Remove seat & the left side cover. Ignition switch off & key removed from bike. 2> Run the Black wires from the Kev Mod to the Air temp sender, on the left side of the air box near the top. Now cut the BLACK/BLUE wire in two. Then solder each Black wires from the Kev Mod to each end of the Black/Blue wires. Seal with heat shrink, supplied. I think I sent you some quick connectores so use them if you want. 3. The Air temp circuits are now complete. 4> Refit side cover back on bike. 5> You are now ready to set the adjustment of the resistor. 6>Hold in the select & reset buttons on your dash at the same time, turn on the ignition key. Hold the buttons in until Diag is displayed. Let go buttons. Push & hold both buttons again. Until 01 & a number is displayed, this is the throttle angle. Push the select button until 05 & a number is displayed. This is the Air Temp reading, now adjust the temp down using the variable resister by 5 deg C from the displayed reading. I found 5 to 10 deg C to be the best mixture for my bike. You can try different settings to suit your bike by adjusting the Air temp adjuster. Important ride the bike & get it up to running temp, go back & fine tune the settings again. |
