Blackdown part 2.

I took the 4WD track on the way out.

It doesn't look much in the photo but I was faced with a bit of a gnarly rocky descent or turn back track the last hour. So I let a bit of air out the tyres & rode down. Much more successful than when I walked it first & ended up sliding down most of it on my backside.

Aussie Pub but unfortunately no time to stop 200k's still to go & light is fading.

100 to go and the shadows are getting long

Not having a top box, & the thought of a back pack for 700k's was less than appealing so I modified an old portable DVD player bag/box we used to have in the car for the kids before iPods were around.
The off cuts of copper pipes & packets of nuts , bolts & washers you keep hold of just in case did come in handy after all.
Held fast with Rok Straps so could enjoy a nice cuppa here & there. They say necessity is the mother of invention.

To make things as comfy as possible I wore my cycling shorts under my trouser's & had no issues at all. Looking forward to the the next big ride!! Cheers.

Wow, breathtaking photos, it looks beautiful where you ride. The photo of you leaning on the fence is a stunner

Im jealous, very jealous haha. Love the improvised topbox too.

Look forward too seeing more pics in the future.
Ride safe
Jon
