Heck Aaron and Keith, looks more gnarly than Wales. Well done for surviving this one. Wish it was a bit closer for us Southerners.

day out 22 august
Thanks for a great day out jonz, Its monday now and ive just about recovered:104: have to do it again in a month or so but miss out the climb up salter fell!!
The bikes nice and shiny again and now shod with a K60 scout on the rear . Read my thread on trying to fit it I will post it soon. |
Jacques, you're not wrong mate! it was hard going but that's what made it such good fun.
I dunno if I'll be having another go in the next month. That's dangerously close to my wedding and I've been warned not to be limping up the aisle. Soon as I get back I'll be fitting a pair of Mitas Army Specials. Then it'll be back to Salter Fell and this time I'll try not to end up under the bike. Cheers for a top day out Jon! Even if I'd have found these lanes on my own I'd of had no chance of getting through them without all the advice. |
No worries guys im glad you enjoyed it, Keith youll be fine next time we do salter fell. Youve had a practice run now and know what too expect ;-)
If i dnt speak too you before Arn have a great wedding bud. :-) and when your trail tires are fitted drop me a message and well get out :-) Jaques, For you southern guys I could try to put something together in wales if thats more achievable distance? |
Thanks for the offer but will have to wait till my suspension is a bit more suited. A bit like a pogo stick when stock. I do feel for Aaron with those road based tires going through those rocks. Must have caused some exciting moments.
