thnx, i found out after reading my Haynes. But here is the whole story;
bought a "wrecked" tenere 2013
brought the frame to a specialist, bought a new tank, headlight, fuel sensor, headlight wiring, tps sensor, tidy tail and more stuff.
reconnected the wiring and all the stuff, but had a immobilizer problem, code 41 and had only one black key.
have send ecu and immobilizer to shop and ordered original key and reprogram of the ecu. installed everything and now.........
code 51,
no headlights but pass button works (relay???),
no fuelpump noise (because of the faultcode from the immobilizer probably), engine go's around, will not start because the code 51.
first step: check the ecu shop if they have really tested the immobilizer antenne
second: test the light relay (doesn't hear a click when i push the low beam button)
third: ?????????????????????
any more suggestions???

The headlights won't work off the switch unless the engine is running (the ECU is receiving a pulse from the crank position sensor which in turn controls the headlamp relay). They will work off pass switch, because that is a separate feed and is not controlled by the headlamp relay/ECU.

I would leave the headlight issue for now; it is just a result of the non-running condition.

^^This is where I'd start. If you paid good money to get the ECU, keys and immobiliser sorted, and it doesn't work.

pleiades,
top info about the headlight, something hard to find in the haynes.
and yes, i started with a mail to the ecu shop to be sure about the immobilizer. first have to be sure about the immobilizer before getting on.
the XT is a nice project to get some experience on this bike and to make it my next travelbike.
i still have a Tiger 1050 to keep me on the road (brought me from europa all the way to the arctic circle in Alaska),
keep you informed, albert

Tail light works but not break light?

If your charging voltage is OK, which it sounds like it is, then have a look at the fuses.

Have you checked the 10A fuse in the separate white holder to the rear of the main fuse box? This fuse supplies the indicators and tail/sidelights, which may explain why they both arent working yet everything else is fine (assuming your headlight stayed working after you replaced the bulb).

It is quite possible that the headlamp filament just blew (as they do) and momentarily cause a voltage spike, which in turn caused the tail/sidelight/indicator circuits fuse to blow (they headlight front sidelight share the same earth). The headlights circuit may have been able to take the spike as its rated at 20A.

Id guess the reason the alarm still powers up the indicators is that it (or its circuit) provides the supply to the indicator relay, not the same fused supply that the handlebar switch uses.

Check the 10A fuse, replace if necessary. If it is the problem, watch out it doesnt blow again as this will be a sign the something is still amiss. However, I reckon (assuming the headlight failing was the start of your woes) that it blowing is/was the route cause and you should be OK.

Tail light works but not break light? do you have any ides what i may have done wrong?
Thanks
