I had to widen the H7 bulb hole as it's too small for the projector

Currently it's still not complete as I didn't have the time to connect the projector solenoid cable.

Will updates again once I'm done

Uau... Great improvement!
I also think the standard high beam sucks but as I ride mostly during daytime I haven't felt the need to upgrade.

I've put Philips X-Treme Xenon 55W lamps in mine, and soldered the two circuits together inside the switch housing

This means Low & High beam together when high beam is flashed or switched on.

Detailed here: http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?...ight=main+beam

Result? Pretty massive flood of light.
Cost? 17

Job done.

+1 Best and cheapest way to more light on the road.

Doesn't look like (comparing the two pictures) that you've actually got the HID and the high beam on together in the second of the above two pictures, just the main?? The "factory high beam" isn't acually any different from stock? You'd definitely benefit from the above mentioned mod.

Pleiades,
I thought the OP had fitted the projector and HID to the main beam?

Looks it from the light pattern pictures, but not from the install. Hmm.

For reference I bought a cheap (15) H7 car HID kit from China and just fitted the ballast and bulb in place of the stock bulb. Works really well.

Headlight with Projector lens and HID system

As far as I can make out it's got a HID projector dip beam, an H7 main beam and both operate off the stock high/low switch meaning that neither are on simultaneously? But I'm speculating a little.

The bike's still got that awfully annoying dead space right in font of it on main beam typical of the Ten, which has always been my personal gripe with the OE lights. You can fill this dark zone with the main/dip wiring mod.

I guess we'll have to wait for Rogerang to get back with the definitive answer as to what he's done...
