there is no extra noise coming from the Avon's! They might look rugged but the contour of the casing profile it's still perfectly round, they are not off road knobblies. :laughing11:

Avon Distanzias are more a road tyre than an off road tyre. If you know someone who has some then give them a squeeze. They are a supamoto tyre and very soft and sticky. They heat up very quickly and you can give them full beans on full tilt and they won't slip (in the dry that is). They are also very good in wet conditions and they will last you alot longer than the original Pirelli Dragons as well.

Just tyres used update.

1 pair original Pirellis...................... thought these suited the bike lasted about 2 months for the rear 3.5 months front.
1 Pirelli corsa rear. �110 fitted........ didn't get on with this tyre about lasted about 3 months.
1 pair Coniforce SMs �150 fitted loose wheel. Rear lasted about 2 months front still on.
1 Coniforce SM rear �90 fitted loose wheel.
1 pair Contiforce SMs �150 fitted loose wheels at 6800 miles. Jan 2008
1 Contiforce SM rear �100 fitted to loose wheel at 7900 miles May 2008
So total so far 9 tyres in 8000 miles. EEK
All bought from my local dealer as he seems to be as cheap as anybody and it's always next day delivery or he keeps them in stock.
