"Do i leave in the Kevs spacers or remove them with new springs and 15W oil" ?

In or out ?..... what ever is required to get the correct sags...

(the rear shock can't damp the standard spring let alone a stronger one...)

So, I never ended up with these. Quick question though, I've got kev spacers in front, but noticed my rear is on setting 2 on preload. I'm 15st naked, should I be adding more preloaded? I only do solo riding.

unless you have tryed to set the sags... you have no idea if
you need softer/harder springs or the pre-load adusted one way or the other...
try setting the sags front and rear then everything will be come clear what way you need to go with the springs/pre-load..

It took me 2 rear & 3 front spring sets to get my XTR sitting right under my weight..

What figures for static and rider sag should I be hoping for on these ?

Petenz 08-07-14 09:58

dirt bike...
30/35mm static
33% of travel rider sag

road bike...
10/12mm static
33% of travel rider sag...

My XTR is set at..
front..
32mm static.
87mm rider..
(front has Showa USD forks..)

rear..
29mm static..
78mm rider..

take the first base measurment with the wheel off the ground..
