Had to get out

After reading Andys RxR and being all but house bound :aaarrgjh i kicked myselfup the arse and dragged the Black Pig out, the sun had been out all day and now a 3pm it felt fine so , in work boots , jeans and bike jacket i set off towards Rocamdour

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-d...o/IMG_1595.JPG

The first few kms were fine but i little cold in the shade, but i was out :yahoo: and nothing ached ......result

Maybe i should fill folk in will my mini dilemma

Bloody Thyroid has gone tits up :aaarrgjh this being ill is really new to me , maybe i've been lucky but i'm payng now!!! anyway doc says it'll all get sorted and to stopworking for 3 months :wtf i have to work and there aint know way a bloody gland is going to boss me ............................he says :blah :blah :blah :blah

Result !!!!! ...............yes thats where i was , riding is easy and the old ticker stayed nice and calm ,but i can't go out without going off road :dirtsmile
Turned down a lane i knew that has a ford but found this

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-6...o/IMG_1596.JPG

Thats at least a metre deep and fast flowing  but there's a bridge

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-q...o/IMG_1597.JPG

This nearly proved fatal !!!! you can see i've got my Giant Loop luggage (yellow bag) strapped to the Pig (testing if it stays on)
I rolled onto the bridge and thought good photo op !!! stopped the bike threw my leg backward catching the bag and nearlly falling in the river :tosser

I chose this route because i know it's fairly light going knowing full well if the Pig went down i'd never pick it up on my own

If i'd still been smoking i'd of have a tab here

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-7...o/IMG_1599.JPG

Good job i know where i'm going , bloody GPS has the wrong card in it http://www.adventurebikerider.com/co...s/laughing.png

Time to leave it was getting chilly

But me being me saw another trail , should i :hmmm: i'm getting tired it going cold :hmmm:

What the hell.....................

I didn't stop untill here !!!! bloody rut was a good foot deep and the climb was steep and loose

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-g...o/IMG_1606.JPG

I had a choice

Left OR right

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-B...o/IMG_1608.JPG

i went left and saw the right route from high :dirtsmile i'll be back :dirtsmile

G'Day, Phil. Nice photos.
Can I ask about your garmin, what are the wires around it. I thought that type of outdoor garmin only operated on batteries and also, how have you mounted your gps?

PhilinFrance 11-02-14 11:28

Cheers AA
The 60CSx can be use with both , it has 3 ports on the back
One for an extra anttena

and these two the left hand one is what i use , its really for transffering data but works , the right hand one is the real mains power point but i think this is for the touretech type cradles

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-1...o/IMG_1642.JPG

The mount is a RAM

Nice report Phil! Look at those blue skies!

I've got the same Garmin and use one of these to power it on longer trips. It uses the 4 pin connector and is bang on.
