There's just that something about the SoF ain't there!!! out of interest have you been in France long enough to be in the health system I know one or two that came home because they were late starters going over there and couldn't get in.

Been here for nearly 10 years now and work full time so fully in the system.
When in the system you get 70% cover but we , my wife and i have a top up cover, the 30% that cost �124 a month ( i'ts the best cover)

�15 a week each a dam sight cheaper than the Nat Ins stamp i payed weekly in the UK

We do pay �23 just to see the Doc here but can claim it back , ohh and a night in hospital cost around �1300.00 :bigwink:

Looked fantastic . What size cards do you use in your GPS I have the same. Can you recommend best software to make the maps you use...thks in adv sorry went off subject chaps

Got several cards but that one was a 2G France Topo one and i think the max you can have is 4G but they are that small i carry all the ones i need between the batteries in the back !!! Simples !!!

I use Basecamp for mapping , but that said i really don't know what i'm doing !!! so always back up long trips with a paper map !!!

Just recived my paper map for Pallars Sobira (Pyrenees) i'm off in a couple of weeks no route just east to west as much dirt as poss
