Hi aliwakeskate,

This may sound a silly thing to ask are you still making them? and is it pay buy paypal only? just I've not yet got a paypal account.

Thank you.

I'm still making them for the tenere. But I think you have an XTX? I should be making guards for the XTR and XTX soon.

Hi Al,

Unwrapped my black Tenere guard last night....took a while....best packaging I have seen in a long time! It was like Christmas all over again :icon_santa:

Very nice work and many thanks.

Sandman.

I got mine the other day - nice piece of kit.

Slight problem fitting it as the top left hand allen screw is rounded so it looks like I'm going to have to get the drill on it unless someone has any ideas?

Is it the original yamaha screw? If so, might be a bit corroded to the mounting point so spray some wd40 or plus gas (penetrating compound) in the thread if possible then try one of the following.

If you have any torx bits find one that nearly fits or is a little oversize and tap it into the screw head with hammer so it 'bites' into the screw head. Then slowly try to undo it keeping some pressure on it.

Another way is to cut or dremmel a slot into the screw head so you can use a flat head screwdriver to undo it.

There are other things to do, but one of the above usually works for me before resorting to drilling the bolt out.

Cheers Sandman. Yep, I might have overdone the packaging a bit! Well at least they are arriving safely - unlike a parcel I had from royal mail last week which must have been used for their annual keepy up competition :icon_evil:

It is always so much easier and usually cheaper to "invest" a little more time and effort in packaging something properly than "waste" time resolving issues with unhappy customers and damaged goods.

Why dont more suppliers realise that?

Top marks to ya :WellDone_OROQR1:
