Sorted

Dadiodw, you are a genius. I tried this, and the lock turned immediately. I've tested it several times now, same result. With one tiny change of movement, the lock now works normally.

For the record: on the XTR, the position of the lock in the off position is 10 o'clock. Insert the key as usual, then pull the key slightly towards 4 o'clock and turn. Lock turns as normal.

Sorted! Thank you :)

Have found with mine if you put the key all way in and put a little pressure to the opposite way as to what part ot the ignition part you want. I.e to turn on at 11 o'clock put pressure on to 5 o'clock. This works fine for me for now :-\
