Might be worth thinking about my simple mod which makes the lid quick release enabling full access...

The sump guard is great and the toolbox handy; keeps the extra weight low and toward the front of the bike. Not watertight mind, so give your tools a rub down with an oily rag.

(Here is MkI version... http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=15985)

Dont suppose you have a photo of your Ten with this sump/tool box thing? i mean not a close up....a pic that shows what the whole bike looks like with one fitted?

I had a dream last night that i zip tied tyre levers to the front of my Yam sump/engine bars combo. maybe it was a sign?? :)

Do you have to buy the sump guard...and also the tool box?

Not sure I follow which bit of the bracket clashes with what? Are you sure you've got the right mounting parts? Oddly, my bash plate fitted straight on and everything lined up without a hitch (apart from the fact that in 2008 the instructions were only in German!)

Got a photo of the offending part(s)?

The one good thing I've always found with TT parts is they're designed, made, machined and drilled to a high degree of accuracy and fit without modification (which is more than I can say for a lot of aftermarket parts out there!)

touratech bracket clashes with sw motech brackets where it mounts at the front of the bike

Ah, I see! Thought you meant there was a problem with the TT guard itself - best you fire up the grinder and get modding! ;)
