Ohlins, As I now have some wheels I will almost certainly be meeting up with you on the 22nd at Algerceiras.
If you know of a point where we can meet let me know, otherwise I'll just tag on the back of the largest group of bikers that passes....... that should be you lot!!!! ;-) Nick. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 4 |

Hi Nick... Good to have you on board... Yip...there's a small moto park area close to the main terminal where you buy tickets....in fact it's the only moto park as far as I know. We can meet there as we park there and dander across the road to buy the tickets. Closer to the time I'll get a head count and some contact details so we can all know what's what. :) . |

I'm thinking tkc80/k60 front/rear... |
Hi Oldmanthatcansee
I am also coming along, and have just put on a set of tkc 8o's front and rear. I have a xt660r hopefully the rear will last the 5,000 odd miles. But when we hit the trails, then I am guessing it will be the better tyre for me. rog |
if its any good to anyone for travelland trail ive had very good service from
mitas e09 dakar rear tkc 80 front i find the e09 very accepatble on the road much much better than a tkc off road ....particularly when wet and longer lasting than the tk rear ..its a good duel tyre strangly the e09 front is not a great tyre either way thus the tk for distance ..usually good for 8k or thereabouts i havnt found a front knob tyre to beat it for wear ..or road grip ,,it decent enough on dry going ..but sadly pretty rubbish in softer sand ..understandable given its wide type of use ..but for maroco s cart tracky rocky trails its a good choice overall this k60 scout was taken off at 4000 miles as the centre wear band was lethal on wet grass but it should be fine in maroc ..pleanty of tread left i reacon a mefo would be a better bet that centre band is a pain in the ass http://imageshack.us/a/img215/858/heiinkau.jpg heres my last tk taken off at 3800 miles http://imageshack.us/a/img11/8285/0ws3.jpg ive run quite few different tyres on the xt http://imageshack.us/a/img208/3156/img2356r.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img836/5787/fosk.jpg for a proper 50 /50 e09 dakar is a good comprimise ..i have run one to 6000 miles but its pretty knobless by then http://imageshack.us/a/img199/5884/cerl.jpg |

Front's not great on loose going or wet mud but I find them a very good compromise . Getting closer these days....I'll ping everyone soon for any updates etc. Carry on Capt Mainwaring.... :) . |
Hi all
