Your bike must rev its nuts off then. What is the limiter set at then? Also what are the vibes like at that rpm?

CaptMoto 23-02-07 12:19

I don't know what its set at but I guarantee you its too damn close for my liking, but then I asked Kev and he said if it Reverend Limiter wasn't there my bike would go pop, so I take it as that's the best I am ever going to get out of it. As for the vibrations, it's not that different from the bike idleing tbh.

Buck 23-02-07 13:02

i think the rev limiters set about 7500 .

119mph on standard gearing bouncing off the rev limiter. Nice. Glad to see you are getting the most from your XT!

Remind me not to bid on your bike if ever you sell it!

Sure thing, I'll make a note of that :crybaby: :read:

A few facts for you.

Lets say your bike will run all the way in top gear to the governor. That's 7200RPM.

If you run standard sprockets your top speed at 7200RPM will be 170.4KPH

If you run a one tooth bigger front sprocket your top speed at 7200RPM will be 181.9KPH

You would also need to allow for the built in speedo error, of about 10% over reading, depending on how worn the rear tyre is.

Aha! That'll be why mine was so far over... My rear diablo was totally shot to hell...
