Hi Kinioo - thanks for the :thumbsup[1]: on the blog mate - Ill try and keep it interesting as I go along. Have fun at the game - hard not to really! Pity Im having to do the outlaw thing this weekend, or I could have joined you for a :beer[1]: Cant really grumble as Im going to be away for 4 months! Cheers Pat |

I didnt get the PM - but thanks for posting this. I know what you mean - the accident / death cover elements are pretty crap for bikers. But so are the max payouts under this section (2k/5k) even if you were able to claim - so section 4 is a bit pointless either way really. I think for good cover in this area specialist accident / dealth cover is necessary - as most travel policies dont offer that much from what I have seen. For me a high level of medical cover was more important from this policy, and this they do cover for big bikes on the Gold policy (important particularly for north america). I did check out with them the difference between medical and accident cover for bikers - essentially your medical bills are covered from a bike accident, but you cant claim the (2k max) compensation element under section 4. Im OK with that - and I have standing separate long term death cover (not that death isnt long term - you know what I mean:001:). If I recall from my investigations a few months back, the Post Office do a pretty good travel policy that allows big bikes, and perhaps it is more balanced between medical and accident... Hi Pat
I have been looking at many insurances for my trip same as you and need to get something in place soon, as for my visa applications i need some form of cover, this does looks like one of the better ones i have seen, but do like to read the policy wording, Insurance companies not renowned for parting with their money if problems arise!
