Levers have arrived

Hi there everyone,

As promised l would show you the levers from ebay
Got them today, quick delivery too..well packaged and looked well made..nice and smooth alloy pieces, and look good quality
BUT theres a but...the front brake lever didnt have the hole drilled out of it for the spring...i used from small 2 mm to 6 mm drill bits to get the approx right size to match the std Yamaha lever...AND IT WORKED!!!!! Works actually bloody great...
Clutch was no problem on installation either...and feel great...worth the $$$ l reckon...
i have attached photos

Yeah they look good. Im always in fear of buying outside of Europe due to tax issues and if postage goes wrong. Are you from uk presume there were no hidden costs from customs etc

Timbo, my 1st message l done has the link to them.. He sent them quick to me in Australia...
he dropped the price now to $80USD...delivered... Stupid me just bought a another set,...hehehehe..
i emailed seller and told them the problem. i sent him photos and they said they are going to deal with it...(that hole for spring is missing)
i had a similar pair on my R1 and loved the feel of those levers compared to std ones...well worth it i reckon

Good luck to you with the levers - I hope they turn out good. For me (call me a pessimist) something just doesn't feel right about putting my trust in a Chinese lever operating something as vital as my front brake. I've seen some really sh!t metalwork, particularly brittle recycled alloys coming out of China, but to be fair they are getting better at it all the time. However, I must stress that this is just personal opinion...

Can't be much weaker than the ****ty cast items that come as standard... Plus if your pulling your front brake hard enough to snap a lever your in toruble already.

I was really thinking more of stress fatigue and fracturing over time which "could" result in a sudden break. You've got to remember that (although cosmetically sh!tty) the OE levers will have been tested, and properly, Chinese levers most certainly won't have been! My brother owns a Skyteam franchise in Harrogate and honestly some of the metalwork is laughable, he has to spend many an hour straightening things out during PDI including replacing levers with Honda items! But, like I said, its just my opinion based on the evidence.

By the way - hello and welcome to the forum! ;)
