Eh... wouldn't you just bend steel bars back as a temporary fix? Alloy bars (I wouldn't imagine) like being bent back. I'm no expert on handlebars though. Pretty sure the bars on my R are steel - who said cheap???

Just fitted a set of Renthal Jimmy Buttons.
They are very close to stock with a fraction less sweep

They are 807mm wide compared to OEM 775mm so I cut them down by 15mm each side, a bit of a file and sandpaper and they are perfect

I also drilled two 5mm holes to mount the controls.

The control length (cut down) is spot on but my Barkbusters VPS don't fit nicely so I ditched them.

PS: I also filled the Renthals with silicone glue which helps with vibration
