Cheers CB. With a name like yours, you would just love Colombia! More on that to come soon!

For those of you who have nothing better to do - have a read of the latest episode in my journey - and think differently about Ecuador!

this was a friends account of the same trip in very short....

I shipped it to Halifax in Nova Scotia , Canada . Went up through cape Breton to Newfoundland then across to Labrador and down the West side of the gulf of St Laurence to Ottawa . Across to the west coast and Vancouver then followed that West coast all the way up into Alaska , a fantastic journey . Toured Alaska getting as far as Proudo Bay then came down that West coast all the way to Los Angelies . Picked up rout 66 , or what's left of it , and went across to the East coast . Down through Florida as far as Key West then back up and followed the coast of the gulf of Mexico into Mexico its self , and kept on heading South , all the way to Tera del Fueago , Southern Chilli , 32,000 miles . Took me a year and i had a fantastic time
I always Kept up with oil changes , religiously , doing the job my self and the only problem i had was a cracked front wheel rim in Honduras which i had replaced with the best one i could find in Columbia . Checked the tappets a number of times but they never needed adjusting .
Hope you have as much enjoyment out of the XT as i did , it has a very strong engine and will take you where ever you want to go .
Happy trails , Martin

Cheers fella - the bike is really running strong right now - just as well as I have a stinking cold! It seems to like the humidity and heat more than I do!:VeryHot_FWSGAA:

As noted above, Ive been down with a stinky cold - which has seen me just crashing out each evening, so this update is running a bit late. Having a break for a few days, so will catch up with posts soon.
